Dieser ProSafe Router kombiniert 5 Produkte in einem. Damit stehen Ihnen zur Verfügung: ein 54 MBit/s 802.11g Wireless Access Point, ein NAT-Router, ein 4-Port Switch, eine SPI-Firewall und ein USB-Print-Server. Zusätzlich zu SPI sorgen noch weitere Funktionen für Sicherheit. DoS-Schutz, IDS Intrusion Detection, IPSec, PPTP und L2TP VPN pass-through Support. Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Remote Management Login schützt das Passwort und die User-Namen. Die Wireless Verbindungen werden durch eine 64- und 128-bit WEP Verschlüsselung und dem neuen WiFi Protected Access (WPA) geschützt. Zusätzlich verfügt der FWG114P über DB-9-Port zum Anschluss an ein Analoges oder ISDN-Modem. Dies ermöglicht eine Back-Up-Verbindung für den Fall eines Breitband Ausfalls.
